The upcoming final title clash will feature record champions Mumbai and two-time winners Vidarbha.
Ranji Trophy semi-final clash
Ahead of the upcoming final clash, the tournament witnessed two intense semi-final clashes featuring Mumbai vs. Nagpur and Vidarbha vs. Madhya Pradesh. Ajinkya Rahane-led Mumbai sealed their spot with a 70-run win over Tamil Nadu in the second semi-final. Meanwhile, Vidarbha sealed a 62-run victory over Madhya Pradesh earlier in the day in semi-final 1. Shardul Thakur played a major role for Mumbai, scoring an impressive 109 runs out of 232 in the first inning.
The all-rounder shined again as he claimed two wickets to bowl out TN for 162 in the second inning. Vidarbha, on the other hand, lost out in the first inning after being bowled out for just 170. However, they fought back to set a target of 321 before bowling out MP for 258 in the next outing.
Ranji Trophy Final 2024 date and venue
The upcoming Ranji Trophy final between Mumbai and Vidarbha will start off from Sunday, March 10, until Thursday, March 14 starting at 9:30am IST. The iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai will serve as the venue for the matches.
