The Indian Super League (ISL) is all set to experience an exciting Kolkata derby this weekend as East Bengal gets all set to face off vs Mohun Bagan with the next 2024 match date and time out
The two clubs were previously set to face off at an earlier time, but the match got postponed due to security reasons.

Heading into the match, Mohun Bagan, who are currently placed in 3rd, are the favourites to win the match.
East Bengal, on the other hand, is out of the race for a top-six finish. Both clubs previously faced one another back in February during the reverse fixture, which ended in a 2-2 draw. In that match, Ajay Chhetri and Cleiton Silva scored the goals for East Bengal, while Armando Sadiku and Dimitri Petratos scored for the Mariners.

There were previously some speculations regarding the upcoming match date and time. This came after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee called for a huge political gathering on the same day. This meant that a large part of police security would be stationed at the gathering instead of the match.
However, despite all the rumours surrounding the match, the two Kolkata clubs will face off on the scheduled day. Although there will be a 60-minute delay in the kickoff timing, it is not as stated earlier. Fans can expect the Kolkata Police to issue an official confirmation letter very soon as East Bengal prepares to host the upcoming important derby match. This news will come as a relief to the two teams, as both clubs had prior and post-match commitments besides the upcoming match.
