Caicedo enrolled in Independiente del Valle’s youth academy at the age of 13 and joined their first team in 2019. For an undisclosed sum, Caicedo signed an afour-and-a-half-yearr contract with English team Brighton & Hove Albion on February 1, 2021. Caicedo signed a season-long loan with Belgian top division team Beerschot on August 31, 2021, transfer deadline day.
Caicedo was recalled from his loan on January 12, 2022, and sent back to England since Brighton was short on centre midfielders. He was put on the bench as soon as he got back to Sussex, and he stayed there for the 1their -1 home draw against Crystal Palace on January 15th.
