Nu had to celebrate the release of his new album with an Instagram post. She wrote,

Who Is Yumi Nu?
She was born on September 23, 1996, in Englewood, New Jersey, and presently she is 25 years old. She Japanese and Dutch by ethnicity and an American by citizenship.
Kana Grace Nootenboom, Yumi Nu’s mother, was of Japanese descent and the daughter of Hiroaki Aoki, the creator of the well-known American restaurant chain Benihana, while her father, Brent Nu, was Dutch and worked in the IT industry. Yumi Nu’s younger sister, Natalie Nu, is also a well-known model.
Yumi is presently dating Dimitri Dinas, a musician who shares her interests. He is a wonderful, kind, and supporting partner.
Nootenboom is one of the daughters of Benihana founder Hiroaki “Rocky” Aoki and received a portion of a whopping $50 million inheritance when he died in 2008 while Nootenboom was a marriage and family therapist. The family moved from New Jersey to Maryland to California when Yumi was young, she is also the niece of DJ and producer Steve Aoki and is signed to her famous uncle’s Dim Mak record label.
