Since 2005, the top scorer in Major League Soccer during the regular season has received the MLS Golden Boot, now known commercially as the “Audi Golden Boot.”
LAFC forward Denis Bouanga had won the 2023 MLS Golden Boot with 20 goals. With 17 goals apiece, Atlanta United striker Giorgos Giakoumakis and FC Cincinnati’s Luciano Acosta tied for second place.

Carlos Vela in 2019 and Diego Rossi in 2020 were the previous two Black & Gold players to receive this honour in the previous five years, with the Gabon international adding seven assists as well.
Leading the race to become the “MLS Cup winner” would put a star above Inter Miami’s crest. By lifting their first-ever trophy in the Leagues Cup last summer, the Herons had already made history. Another favourite, FC Cincinnati, hopes to expand on their 2023 Supporters’ Shield victory. Luciano Acosta, a midfielder and the current MLS MVP, is in charge of them.
LA Galaxy and D.C. United are among the esteemed group of teams that the Columbus Crew may soon join; four-time Supporters’ Shield champions. The greatest regular-season club in the league was last seen in 2009, when the MLS Cup champions were in contention. To win their third Supporters’ Shield, LAFC is also vying for the trophy. Prior to that, in 2019 and 2022, the Black & Gold won the trophy.
Lionel Messi is the clear favourite to win since he is currently playing in Major League Soccer. For both club and nation, Messi has excelled in every endeavour, and MLS dominance is widely anticipated this season. However, that being said, there will be a lot of competition for the top slot.
