The MLB 2022 World Series Is Currently Underway, But Some Fans Claim That The Tickets Are “Too Pricey, Kow Much Are These Tickets Costing Baseball Fans 

The World Series matchup between the Houston Astros and Philadelphia Phillies during the following week will mark the conclusion of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. The Astros swept the Yankees 4-0 in the ALCS, while the Phillies won the NLCS 4-1 over the Padres to go to the World Series.

The Phillies haven’t appeared in the World Series in 14 years, since they defeated the Tampa Bay Rays in five games to win it all in 2008. 

World Series Tickets: How Much Are They? 

Vivid Seats has tickets available for Games 2 through 7. However, under the terms and conditions, individuals who purchase tickets for playoff games that do not take place will receive a full refund. 

Baseball fans will need to fork over hundreds of dollars for tickets, though, as the currently available Game 2 tickets on Vivid Seats start at $442 and can cost as much as $4,190. 

With prices starting at $819 and going as high as $7,550, Game 3 is even more expensive. Fans would need to spend at least $1,038 on Game 4 tickets, and Game 5 tickets start at $896.

The 2022 World Series Schedule 

Here is a summary of the 2022 World Series schedule: 

  • Game 1: Friday, October 28 (at Houston)
  • Game 2: Saturday, October 29 (at Houston)
  • Game 3: Monday, October 31 (at Philadelphia)
  • Game 4: Tuesday, November 1 (at Philadelphia)
  • Game 5 (if necessary): Wednesday, November 2 (at Philadelphia)
  • Game 6 (if necessary): Friday, November 4 (at Houston)
  • Game 7 (if necessary): Saturday, November 5 (at Houston) 

Due to the need for extra innings, the Phillies defeated the Astros in Game 1 6-5. 

This year, the NL World Series will be played at Citizens Bank Park, the home of the Phillies, and the AL World Series will be played at Minute Maid Park, the home of the Astros.
