Oneus Ravn is departing the group, and RBW has stated the reason in a statement.
“For those who are unaware, Ravn was the subject of an infidelity rumour prior to the revelation.” According to media reports, a person who identified herself as Ravn’s former girlfriend accused the singer of cheating and gaslighting in a lengthy Twitter post.
The Group’s Departure From Ravn Was Announced In A Statement Released By RBW On October 27.
Regarding this matter, Ravn voluntarily opted to leave the group out of worry about the harm it was doing to the ONEUS members and supporters. We have decided to accept the members’ opinions regarding the voluntary withdrawal following the extensive debate. According to the announcement, Ravn has formally left the group as of today.
In addition to Ravn’s departure, RBW also stated that they want to take legal action against the damaging rumours spread about the group, especially about Ravn.
The official statement read, “In addition to Ravn’s withdrawal, we have found malicious editing and misleading information in stories about Ravn because we want to use litigation to make the true facts obvious. Strong legal action will also be taken against vicious and indiscriminate slander of the organisation and the artists. Whether the message was accurate or not, we are equally to blame for the absence of artist management.”
Oneus ultimately won their first music competition with the comeback EP Malus, three years after their debut.
The group won their first prize on SBS M’s The Show, and then in September, they won again for their most recent title single, Same Scent, on MBC M’s Show Champion.
