L. Vijay is the director of the Tamil action thriller film Mission: Chapter 1, also known as Mission: Chapter 1 – Achcham Enbadhu Illaiye. Lyca Productions, Shri Shirdi Sai Movies, New March Fast Pictures, and Aspen Film Productions (P) Ltd. are the producers of the movie. Along with Nimisha Sajayan, Abi Hassan, Bharat Bopana, and Iyal, Arun Vijay and Amy Jackson also feature in the movie.
V. Prakash Kumar composed the soundtrack for the movie and Sony Music purchased the audio rights. On January 3, 2024, the debut song “Kannae Chella Kannae” was released and on January 9, 2024, they released the second single, “Achamae Achamae”.
The film was officially revealed in October 2022 under the title Achcham Enbadhu Illaiye, later however, the official title was announced as Mission: Chapter 1 – Achcham Enbadhu Illaiye in April 2023 after a production change. Principal photography began in London in the same month as the previous date, was primarily shot there and in Chennai, and was completed by late February 2023. G. V. Prakash Kumar wrote the film’s soundtrack, while Sandeep K. Vijay handled the cinematography and Anthony handled editing.
Plot
Gunasekhar, also known as Guna, departs for London to receive his daughter Sana, who has a life-threatening illness, treated at a higher level. But destiny has other plans for Guna; he ends up imprisoned at Wandsworth, one of the most secure facilities, under the supervision of Sandra James, the jailer. The remaining plot revolves around Guna’s attempt to break out of prison and go back with Sana.

“Mission Chapter 1 is an actioner that has a generic template and an effective cast, excluding a somewhat out-of-place Amy Jackson,” wrote Roopa Radhakrishnan of The Times of India, giving the film a 2.5 out of 5.
“Director Vijay’s Pongal release packs a lot of action but the storyline throws little surprises,” stated Srinivasa Ramanujan of The Hindu. Raisa Nasreen from Times Now rated the film with three out of five stars, saying that “Arun Vijay’s gripping thriller combines suspense and passion.” The creators think it will fulfill every requirement for the ideal entertainment.
