With an explosive performance against Thailand at the 2023 Men’s Junior Hockey Asia Cup, India has secured their berth in the semi-final. Thanks to an all-round performance, India blasted seventeen goals past the Thailand defense and won 17-0. For India, twelve players bagged minimum of one goal with Angad scoring four for himself. On Monday, Pakistan vs. Japan will be played and unless Pakistan win by more than 14-goal margin, India will finish as Group-A winner.
From Group-B, South Korea has qualified for the semi-final with their 3-1 win against Bangladesh. Meanwhile, Malaysia are scheduled to play against Oman on Monday and they will finish as Group-B winners if they avoid defeat in last league match. It is likely that India will face-off against South Korea in Tuesday’s semi-final.
