28-year-old World Cup winner Raphael Varane has joined Premier League club Manchester United for a transfer fee of around £35million plus £15million in add-ons. However, Real Madrid will have to pay a solidarity fee of £1million to his boyhood club Lens where he spent the majority of his youth.

He conveyed his feeling to the club representatives of his urge to leave Santiago Bernabeu for a new challenge in his career. Meanwhile, both the clubs were negotiating a transfer fee for the French defender as Madrid were afraid of losing him for a free transfer next summer. Varane has signed a 4-year deal with Manchester United with an option to extend one more year.

Varane has been a rock in the defense alongside club legend Sergio Ramos making a formidable partnership in the heart of the Madrid defense. French defender has featured in 360 games for the Spanish giants scoring 17 goals in his 10 year career with Real Madrid.

Jadon Sancho

Manchester United have agreed on a deal with Borussia Dortmund for the services of young English winger Jadon Sancho for a transfer fee around €90million with add ons. He will have his medicals once he returns from holiday and will be unveiled as a Manchester United player after signing his contract.

He has agreed on a 5-year contract with the club with an option to extend for one more year. He came out and said that- “ The chance to join Manchester United is a dream come true and I just cannot wait to perform in the Premier League.”
