2023 Malaysia Open: BWF points award system
All participants will be looking to start strong by winning this renowned BWF Super 1000 tournament because this competition will serve as the prelude to the 2023 BWF World Tour. For each category champion at 2023 Malaysia Open, 12,000 BWF points will be awarded and hence, the shuttler will get a head-start for 2023 BWF World Tour. After being ousted in the first round, Srikanth will only receive 3,000 BWF points and will therefore miss the chance to significantly improve his position in the BWF World Rankings.
