A Malaysian badminton player named James Gan Teik Chai lived from 5 February 1983 until 5 August 2023. In the 2004 French International competition, he and Koo Kien Keat took home the men’s doubles title.

He also won the 2009 Australian Open Grand Prix competition alongside Tan Bin Shen. He and Ong Soon Hock won the 2012 BWF International competition in Brazil, Argentina, and Mauritius. With his exceptional accomplishments, he made a lasting impression on the history of the sport.
