His career
At the age of just 14, Luca Brecel won the European Under-19 championship. He began playing professionally in 2011 and has claimed three global ranking victories, including the 2017 China Championship when he made history by being the first player from mainland Europe to do so.
At the age of 17, he made history as the youngest player ever to compete in the World Snooker Championship, marking the start of a successful snooker career. In 2017, he climbed into the top 16 in the world rankings.
In 2021, Luca Brecel reached his first Triple Crown final at the UK Championship, narrowly losing to Zhao Xintong.
