The popular manhwa series by Park Tae-joon with the same name, Lookism, will soon be made into an anime in South Korea. The story is mostly about “lookism,” which is when people treat people unfairly because they don’t think they’re attractive.

After A Delay, Netflix Has Confirmed The New Lookism Release Date
Netflix Anime confirmed on Twitter that the anime series Lookism will now come out on Thursday, December 8.
All episodes should be available on Netflix at the following times around the world:
- Pacific Time: 12 AM
- Eastern Time: 3 AM
- British Time: 8 AM
- European Time: 9 AM
- India Time: 1:30 PM
- Philippine Time: 4 PM
- Australia Central Daylight Time: 6:30 PM
Lookism was earlier supposed to be released all over the world on Friday, November 4 through the Netflix streaming service.
Reasons Behind Netflix Putting Off Lookism’s Release
But the streaming giant decided to put off the worldwide release of Lookism after the terrible Halloween crush tragedy in Itaewon. At the time, South Korea was in a state of national mourning.
On October 29, a crowd of people gathered in the narrow streets of Seoul, which led to the crush that killed 156 people and injured more than 170 others.
The Washington Post reported that President Yoon Suk-yeol said at a press conference, “I’m devastated.” On Halloween, something terrible happened in the middle of Seoul that should not have happened.
