Here is all you need to know about how much prize money will the winner take in the LIV Golf Australia, know it’s purse, payout breakdown and more
Since the series is due to resume in Australia after a two-week break, golfers on the LIV tour are about to get payment.
This week, LIV golfers will compete at the Grange Country Club, which is located west of Adelaide, Australia.
LIV Golf Australia 2023 purse, payouts breakdown and winner prize money list
One of the motivations for players to quit the more esteemed PGA Tour is the payment of at least $120,000 US to each contestant, regardless of where they finish in the three-day competition’s final rankings.
The PGA Tour’s major championships, the 12 designated tournaments, and LIV Golf Australia are not “special” events. The prize money and winner’s share for the 14 LIV tour events this year are typical, albeit being appealing.
Who will be the LIV golfer to receive the most recent huge payout? Brooks Koepka, who won the most recent LIV Golf Tour competition and made history by winning again in Orlando, is the most recent tour champion.
With one more victory, he might become the first winner to win three straight weeks, which would net him additional millions of dollars in payouts.
LIV Golf Australia purse
A $25 million purse, of which $20 million will be divided among the 48 golfers, is up for grabs in each LIV Golf competition.
The top three teams in the standings will get $5 million apiece. They are the first, second, and third teams.

The winner of this week’s Grange Golf Club tournament will receive an individual prize fund of $4 million.
The second-place finisher will receive $2.125 million, followed by third place with $1.5 million and fourth place with $1.05 million in prize money for the top four golfers.
To put their recent victories in perspective, Jon Rahm won the 2023 Masters Tournament and collected $3.24 million, while Matt Fitzpatrick won the RBC Heritage and received $3.6 million.
For the top three teams in a leaderboard for a specific event, the LIV also offers additional rewards: $3 million for the first-place team, $1.5 million for second place, and $500,000 for third place. Any team awards were shared among the four golfers on the squad.
Golfers on the winning team will each receive $750,000, while players on the second- and third-placed teams will receive $375,000 and $125,000, respectively.
A player can earn a maximum of $4.75 million in a single LIV event in 2023 (four million dollars in individual earnings plus an additional seven hundred fifty thousand dollars in team winnings).
Charles Howell III is the only player to have earned that much money in 2023 after dominating the Mayakoba leaderboard to start the season. His club, Crushers GC, finished first as a team in that competition, earning him an additional $750,000.
The lowest potential reward for a player in a tournament is $120,000, which is awarded for placing 48th.
