After a shocking knockout victory, Ring Magazine updated its top 10 rankings for heavyweight boxers today in 2023 with one new entry
The top four heavyweights in the most current Ring Magazine rankings are still Oleksandr Usyk, Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder, and Anthony Joshua.
The Gipsy King is regarded as the best fighter in his division, yet he is not currently placed in the top 10 by Ring.
Zhilei Zhang, one of the top five heavyweight contenders, has forced his way into title contention after crushing Joe Joyce.
The 2012 Olympic silver medallist stunned Joyce this month with a nasty sixth-round stoppage victory.

Due to Joyce’s right eye’s frightening swelling, the referee was compelled to disregard it at the advice of the ringside doctor.
With the victory, 39-year-old Zhang, assumed Oleksandr Usyk’s mandatory position as the WBO interim champion.
He moved up to fourth in the Ring Magazine rankings, while 37-year-old Joyce, dropped to seventh after losing for the first time.
Thanks to his Ring, WBA, IBF, and WBO titles, Usyk is still ranked #1.
However, he was unable to unify all four belts for the first time in heavyweight history due to the failure of negotiations to face Tyson Fury.
Deontay Wilder is consequently placed as second, and Tyson Fury is only somewhat behind.
Anthony Joshua, who is now ranked third, might surpass Wilder given that they are negotiating to fight in Saudi Arabia in December.
The undisputed championship match will no longer take place, so Andy Ruiz Jr., who is presently rated fifth, will face Tyson Fury this summer.
Dillian Whyte, who hasn’t competed since November, wants to take on AJ once again in the summer. Joyce is currently rated seventh.
Luis Ortiz is eighth, Joseph Parker is ninth, and Filip Hrgovic is just outside the top 10.
As a result, Daniel Dubois and Otto Wallin, for instance, are excluded from the Ring Magazine rankings.
