Formula 1 Italian GP 2021 Battle for the pole position
Lewis Hamilton started last time on pole at Monza but his incompetent strategy allowed Gasly to win the race. Meanwhile, Max Verstappen has started from pole position this time on 8 occasions and will be looking to add to his tally.
A comfortable victory at the Dutch Grand Prix has pushed Verstappen to the top of the Driver’s Championship. Meanwhile, Red Bull are still behind Mercedes in the Constructor’s Championship after both the Mercedes drivers finished on the podium last time out.
