Legendary football icon Lionel Messi has launched a new energy sports drink called Más+. The newly launched brand, Más+ Next Generation Beverage Co., will produce a new line of refreshing hydration drinks. Before the official announcement of the launch, rumours about the new launch popped up last month, stating that the 36-year-old forward is working on off-field commercial interests.
Following the news about the launch, the brand are expecting a huge demand for the drinks, similar to Logan Paul and KSI’s launch of the PRIME energy drinks in 2022. Interestingly, Messi’s sports drinks share the same name as the co-owners of Inter Miami, Jorge and Jose Más.
Based on the company website, the name is simply based on the Spanish word ‘más’, meaning more. It is a direct reference to Messi’s desire to strive for more and the ‘+’ symbol represents an “extra boost of positivity, inspiration for you to enjoy more music, laughter, friends, and family, and to get more out of life.”
