This will be Messi’s first time contributing to the construction of a TV show, a step that is unusual for athletes as he has only previously appeared in a cameo for an Argentine series. LeBron James (Hustle) and Tom Brady (80 for Brady) are two athletes who have followed the path.
Messi, 35, told Deadline that he is “happy” to be working on the film since it “fulfils one of my dreams.” Sony Music, meanwhile, stated that working with him to “showcase the power and lessons of sports” is “a privilege.”

The show’s release date has not yet been announced. According to Deadline, the project is not currently affiliated with any networks or streamers. But, it will be made in both English and Spanish, in addition to others.
