It has become the talk of the town that Lewis Hamilton paid the bill of f1 drivers while celebrating Sebastian Vettel’s farewell at a restaurant owned by Salt Bae
In a rare occasion that saw the attendance of all 20 F1 drivers in an event that is not organized by the sport’s governing body and does not include the media, Sebastian Vettel’s farewell party has become the talk of the town.

At the party, all of the competitors gathered for a dinner party thrown just before Vettel’s final Formula One race.
At this weekend’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the German driver will compete in Formula 1 for the last time. The four-time world champion said earlier in the year that this would be his final competition so he could devote more time to his young family and other interests.
As Sebastian is one of the most popular drivers on the track, he had an illustrious career and serves as director of the Grand Prix Drivers’ Association.
He has taken a leading role in leveraging his position to draw attention to social concerns and inequalities in recent years and has been an outspoken champion for the welfare and safety of his fellow drivers.
Sebastian Vettel’s Farewell Party Was Hosted By Lewis Hamilton
Although his days of competing for championships in Formula One are likely over, he still holds the respect of pretty much every other driver on the track.
However, what made headlines from his party is that Lewis Hamilton paid the bill of F1 drivers as he hosted the party. Alexander Wurz, the chair of the Grand Prix Drivers’ Association, posted the image to social media and confirmed it was Hamilton’s idea.
Thanks @LewisHamilton to initiate, and thanks all GDPA members to turn up to show respect to one of the greatest, to one of our directors, and ultimately to our sport (which Sebastian Vettel loves so much).
Party’s Bill Went Viral On Social Media
The main F1 journalist for BBC Sport, Andrew Benson, later claimed that the British man had also reached into his wallet to cover everyone’s meal and beverage costs. He stated:
This end-of-season Formula 1 driver get-together was originally Lewis Hamilton’s suggestion, I’m told, and he picked up the bill. And they all had as good a time as it looks they did.
Later, a picture of a bill that seemed to be from the F1 drivers’ party and had a staggering total tab of £140,000 was published on social media. Although the date and hours do make it plausible, the receipt was uploaded by restaurant owner Salt Bae, and its accuracy has not been validated.
Hamilton has stated in the past that he will be devastated to see Vettel go.
