Owing to unforeseen circumstances, the match featuring Asia Lions vs. World Giants match had a delayed start and was altered to 10 overs per side. After being assigned to bat first, the Lions produced 99 in their 10 overs, thanks to a 60-run unbroken stand between Tillakaratne Dilshan and Misbah-ul-Haq. In response, Chris Gayle scored 23 runs at the top of the order, but the other hitters failed to chip in, and World Giants ended on 64/5 after 10 overs. Abdur Razzak and Shahid Afridi each claimed two wickets as they guided the Lions to win by 35 runs.
In order to have any chance of qualifying for the championship match directly, India Maharajas must defeat Asia Lions on Tuesday. If Asia Lions manage to thrash India Maharajas, they can all but guarantee their position in the championship game.
