Following their 2-run defeat against World Giant, the India Maharajas have dropped to the bottom of the standings with two defeats in as many matches. Gautam Gambhir opened the chase with a half-century but, the Maharajas they failed to hit the mark similarly versus World Giants since the middle was underperforming. In the end, Maharajas missed the target by two runs owing to a fantastic last over from Brett Lee. With half-centuries from Aaron Finch and Shane Watson, World Giants had earlier set a target of 167 runs.
On Monday, World Giants will face-off against Asia Lions with the winner taking a giant stride towards final qualification. Meanwhile, India Maharajas will return to the pitch on Tuesday in a do-or-die clash against Asia Lions.
