Altogether, five teams are taking part in the Lanka Premier League 2022 this year, with the final match set to take place on December 23.
The Lanka Premier League Format
The Lanka Premier League will feature 24 matches of which 20 of the matches will occur during the league stage. After the league stage, the top four teams in the points table will then qualify for the playoffs. From there, the winners of the playoffs will then face against each other in the final.
The Lanka Premier League 2022 is the third edition ever since its inception and it will feature the Jaffna Kings as the defending champions. Jaffna Kings won the last season by beating Galle Gladiators by 23 runs in the final match.
