Barry Windham officially began his professional wrestling career on November 27, 1979. He started his career in San Angelo Texas when he was just 19-years-old with a fight against J.J Dillon.

His father Blackjack Mulligan who was also a professional wrestler trained Windham. Following his debut, Windham quickly became a fan favorite and achieved great success in both the singles and tag action.

The World Wrestling Federation (WWF) signed both Windham and Rotunda in October of 1984. The duo both started their WWF career on November 17, 1984, up until in 1985. After their success with WWF, both Rotunda and Windham wrestled at WrestleRock 86. There they defeated ‘The Fabulous Ones’.

In 1986, Windham shifted to NWA where he fought several memorable matches with WWE legend Ric Flair. Following this, He went on to form a successful pairing with Ron Garvin and together won the U.S tag team championship, which they later lost in 1987.

The following year in 1988, Windham teamed up with Lex Luger to form “The Twin Towers” and together, the duo won the NWA World Tag Team Championship from the hands of Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson. However, Windham proceeded to betray Luger, which caused  them to lose the title.

He then had a brief stint with the Four Horsemen, which expired in March 1989. Following this, he made a return to the WWF as “The Widowmaker” in June 1989. Windham rejoined Four Horsemen and face turn later in 1990. Then, for a second time in his career, Windham made a return to the WWF in 1996, this time as “The Stalker”, which he portrayed by wearing camouflage face paint.

More presently, back on October 28, 2011, Barry suffered a heart attract and went into intensive care in Florida. Despite his severe and tragic condition, he made a successful recovery and appeared at the 2012 WWE Hall of Fame. Windham appeared alongside J.J Dillon, Ric Flair, Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson as The Four Horsemen.
