Later on, he coached the team to an OHL championship and a berth in the Memorial Cup Finals in 2001. He was named a runner-up for the CCM Tacks ECHL Player of the Month award. He was also voted the Most Inspirational Player for the Idaho Steelheads. In addition, he was ranked sixth in ECHL history. He also played in the United Hockey League for Fort Wayne.
The OSEG and Ottawa 67 are devastated to learn of the passing of a former player at such a young age. For five seasons, he was also a standout for the Barber Poles.

Lance Dies At The Age Of 42
According to the Ontario Hockey League, Lance Galbraith, 42, died in a car accident in Niagara-on-the-Lake, on Friday.
He was killed, according to sources, in an automobile accident that occurred today. The specifics of the incident are unknown to us. We are, however, attempting to reveal all of the specifics.
It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the tragic passing of Steelheads legend and two-time Kelly Cup Champion Lance Galbraith. He was 42 years old.
