In the year 2016, with junior events, he also appeared for the senior tournaments. Sen bagged the 2016 India International Series tournament.
Two years later in 2018, Lakshya became the champion of the Asian Junior Championships where he overthrew World No. 1 Kunlavuy Vitidsarn in the final.

He also clinched the SaarLorLux Open, a BWF Tour Suoer 100 tournament the same year that was scheduled in Germany. The season 2019 gave him his fourth title at the Scottish Open where he claimed his title defeating the Brazilian opponent Ygor Coelho in the men’s singles category.
