Nine people died in a terrible helicopter crash in California three years ago on Thursday, January 26, 2023. Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna were both on the plane.
According to reports, the Sikorsky S-76B helicopter was flying to Kobe’s Mamba Sports Academy on a foggy morning when it crashed 14 miles away on a hillside.

Kobe was caught in a controversy
The Los Angeles Lakers had just won three straight championships, but history would show that they weren’t done yet. Not everything that shines is gold, though. In July of that year, a 19-year-old hotel worker brought a highly publicised sexual assault case against Bryant.
Bryant had checked into a hotel in Edwards, Colorado, so he could stay there while he waited for surgery at a nearby clinic. The person who said he did it said that it happened in his room.
Bryant later admitted to having a sexual encounter, but he said it was his choice. The case was eventually dropped because his accuser didn’t want to testify, and Bryant apologised to his accuser, his family, and the public. After that, a private settlement was made outside of court.
