David Brooks, 24 has been unfortunately diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkin lymphoma, know about his health update, issue, news, report and status

The statement from Brooks is that the prognosis is positive.

David Brooks has been diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkin lymphoma which is an early stage of cancer.

He has thanked the Football Association of Wales for their work in detecting the disease at an early stage. Brooks is however positive that he will be as fit as a horse after his treatment and is ready for full recovery.

Having played for Bournemouth last on the 29th of September, Brooks backed out from the Wales squad because of his illness. Wales have won their last two matches in the World Cup qualifying stage. The 24 year old Welsh kid is a former Manchester City academy player who moved to Bournemouth from Sheffield United in 2018 for a total of 11.5 million pounds.

Brooks took to social media recently to reveal his cancer diagnosis that majorly affects young adults in their 20s or those over the age of 70. He also said that it’s a difficult message to share and that he will begin the course of treatment from next week itself. Despite the distressing news, Brooks is taking it like a champ and is very confident about getting treated quickly. He hopes to make a speedy recovery so that he can return to work as soon as possible.

Neill Blake, chief executive of Bournemouth made it clear that the Championship club would refrain from putting a timescale or fixing a return date for David. “We’ll give David all the time he needs to get well and will do everything that we possibly can to help with that,” he said.

Brooks’ Career, Goals And Stats

Brooks played for the Manchester City Academy from age 7, after which he moved to the Sheffield United Academy in 2014. He made his first-team debut for Sheffield in March 2016 when he came on at the 63rd– minute as a substitute for Matt Done in a match against Leicester City which ended in a 0-0 draw.

Brooks was bought by AFC Bournemouth from Sheffield United in 2018 for 11.5 million pounds. He scored his first goal for Bournemouth in a 2-1 home win against Crystal Palace. Even though his birth country is England, Brooks chose to play for Wales as his mother is from Llangollen. He most recently represented Wales at the delayed Euro 2020 Cup which took place this year.
