Kimi Raikkonen has affirmed that he will be back in action for the Russian Grand Prix after COVID kept him out of the race at Monza
Failing to make the cut for the Italian Grand Prix after a bout of COVID saw him be ruled out of taking the circuit at Monza, Kimi Raikkonen is all set to return to action when F1 shifts to Russia in the space of 10 days.

The Finn took to Instagram to talk about the latest development with him opening up on how he was much better already and would be making his way back to the middle come the Russian Grand Prix in Sochi.
Reserve driver Robert Kubica had deputised for the Raikonnen at Monza as Raikkonen self-isolated at home. However, despite getting the nod for the race in Italy, Kubica believes he still has some way to go before he can take over the second seat available at Alfa Romeo for next season.
“I think there are some other drivers who are probably higher on the list. I don’t know, you will have to ask Fred.
“Whatever it will bring, the future, I just have to wait and see,” he said when asked to opine on if he could end up playing a bigger role in Formula 1 come 2022.
