Khushbu Sundar was born in a Muslim family and was raised in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Her parents gave her stage name Khushbu when she began her career being a child actress. Now, she has been living in Chennai for years with her a Muslim by religion.
Khushbu dated actor Prabhu while they were filming Chinna Thambi in 1991. They had been in a live-in relationship for more than four and half years and later got married on the 12th of September in 1993 at a house in Poes Garden that they had bought.
Sivaji Ganesan, who is the father of Prabhu strictly opposed their relationship and finally Khushbu and Prabhu decided to part ways and they ended the marriage within four months.
In early 2000, she got married to a movie actor, director, and producer Sundar C and she has been using the name Khushbu Sundar since then. They together have two daughters, namely Avantika and Anandita, after whom they have named their production house, Avni Cinemax.

Khushbu Sundar career and films
Khushbu began her career being a child artist in the Hindi movie film The Burning Train in 1980 with the song “Teri Hai Zameen Tera Aasman”. Between the years 1980 and 1985, she also performed as a child actor in Hindi movies such as Naseeb, Laawaris, Kaalia, Dard Ka Rishta, and Bemisal.
She was cast in the song”Main Pariyon Ki Shehzaadi” in the film Dard Ka Rishta. This 1982 movie was a hit.
