With Saturday’s wrestling and swimming events, Khelo India Youth Games culminated with Maharashtra managing to finish at the top with 56 gold medals. Meanwhile, the hosts Madhya Pradesh settled for third-place finish with 39 gold and Haryana managing to stay in second-place with 41 gold medals.

2022 Khelo India Youth Games final results, medal winners, best performers, & other details
On February 11, the fifth Khelo India Youth Games came to an end, with Maharashtra taking first place in the medal tally with a total of 161 medals, including 56 gold, 55 silver, & 50 bronze. With 128 medals under their belt, Haryana placed second, and Madhya Pradesh, with 96, finished third overall. Notably, water sports and fencing were added to the 25-sport programme for this competition.
In the closing ceremony, Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan congratulated Maharashtra for finishing as the champions and expressed his happiness over the large success of this event. Ahead of the closing ceremony, Maharashtra received congratulations before being driven to the location in a specially made bus labelled as ‘The Champions’. Chouhan advised athletes to use Khelo India as a springboard and set their sights on dominating the Asian, global, & Olympic tournaments.

At the fifth edition of Khelo India Youth Games, Andhra Pradesh were disappointed after they settled for 17th position finish with just 10 medals. It is known that, Andhra Pradesh finished behind all other Southern states including Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, & Telangana. Meanwhile, Odisha finished ninth thanks to winning a total of 30 medals including 11 gold medals and 8 silver medals.
