At the Abhay Prashal in Indore, Haryana won the Boys’ kabaddi final against Delhi by score of 42-25 to clinch the gold medal, while they won the Girls’ final against Maharashtra by score of 30-29 after a close contest. Thursday proved to be a golden day for Haryana in the Khelo India Youth Games as they bagged a total of eight gold medals across all events.

Four national youth records fell on Thursday in the weightlifting facility built inside the Indore Basketball Complex, which has been a joyful hunting ground for new ones. Puducherry’s R Harini set a new national youth record by lifting a total of 170 kg to win the Girls’ 71 kg category, giving her state its first gold medal. However, Sanjana from Haryana, who won the Girls 76kg division with a staggering total of 195kg, was unquestionably the day’s standout.
Madhya Pradesh enjoyed a great day at the MP Women’s Hockey Academy turf in Gwalior, reaching both the Boys’ and Girls’ category hockey finals. In the Girls’ semi-final, MP won 2-0 against Haryana thanks to a brace from their ace Bhumiksha. In the championship game, the hosts will compete against Jharkhand, who defeated Odisha 3-1 in the other semifinal. Meanwhile, MP will face-off against Odisha in the Boys’ category final after they managed 5-1 victory against Punjab.
On Friday, the first competition will be in wrestling at 8:00 AM, and the last competition will be in weightlifting at 2:00 PM. Fans may see thrilling judo and football competitions on the same day.
