Fresh off of winning the U19 Boys’ title in Surat, Ankur Bhattacharjee of West Bengal defeated Divyansh Srivastava of Uttar Pradesh to claim the gold medal at the Khelo India Youth Games. Meanwhile, Maharashtra’s Taneesha Kotecha clinched the Girls’ division gold medal after defeating Delhi’s Lakishita Narang by score of 4-2.

2022 Khelo India Youth Games day 5 results, winners, day 6 Schedule, venue. medal matches, & other details

At the Kho Kho competition of the Khelo India Youth Games, which were held at the Ranital Sports Complex in Jabalpur, Odisha beat Maharashtra by six points in the Girls’ division final. From beginning to end, Odisha controlled the gold medal match against Maharashtra, winning exhilaratingly 32–26. On February 2, Maharashtra defeated Odisha in the boy’s semi-final game to qualify for the championship match. Later, Odisha boys’ Kho Kho team won against West Bengal 14-12 to capture the bronze medal of the competition.

In Bhopal, Dev Meena broke the previous record of 4.90m set in 2018 by Rakesh Gond of Uttar Pradesh to win the pole-vault gold medal for Madhya Pradesh by vaulting a height of 4.91m in the final. Behind Dev, Uttar Pradesh’s Kuldeep finished with the silver medal and Madhya Pradesh’s Anshu bagged the bronze medal. With Meena’s medal, Madhya Pradesh’s medal total increased to 25, with 14 golds, moving the State into second place overall in the medal count.

On Saturday, the sixth day of Khelo India Youth Games will begin with basketball & hockey matches at 7:00 AM before finishing the morning session at 11:00 AM with boxing event.

2022 Khelo India Youth Games: live stream & where to watch
