Beginning from 30th January, Madhya Pradesh will be hosting the much-anticipated 2022 Khelo India Youth Games spanning across twenty-three events. In a recently concluded event, Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Shouhan revealed the mascot, smart torch, & theme song for this upcoming event.

2022 Khelo India Youth Games schedule, date, venue, list of events, & number of participants
Madhya Pradesh will host the fifth Khelo India Youth Games from January 30 to February 11. Over the course of 13 days, 6,000 athletes could compete in 23 sports events spread throughout 8 locations. Cycling will be organized in Delhi, while all other sporting events will be held in Madhya Pradesh. Water sports like kayaking, canoeing, canoe salaam, and fencing have been added for the first time to the Khelo India Games.
There will be 1,089 national officials and 303 international officials working these games. For Khelo India, almost 2,000 volunteers will be stationed at various gaming locations.
Know the mascot name, smart torch, & theme song of 2022 Khelo India Youth Games
In a ceremony held at Shaurya Smarak in Bhopal on Saturday, Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan unveiled the mascot of Khelo India Youth Games known as Mowgli, smart torch named Amarkantak, & theme song. By pressing a remote control button, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan started the theme song of the Khelo India Youth Games and sent off the Mashal, as a positive atmosphere prevailed and a laser show carried the event’s message high into the sky.
During the ceremony, two players also presented the chief minister with the torch Amarkantak, which bears the name of the location where the Narmada River, widely regarded as the state’s lifeline, originates. It was mentioned during the presentation that this is the first smart torch used in any event of the nation. There are sculptures of the renowned Mahakaleshwar temple, a running cheetah, & a lotus on top of the torch.
