After a tussle at the top of Khelo India Youth Games, Haryana snatched the top-spot from defending champions Maharashtra. At the end of day four, Haryana have won 45 medals including 16 gold medals, which is five higher than Maharashtra in second place.

2022 Khelo India Youth Games Schedule, Venue, Participating Teams, And Day 4 Leaders
KIYG 2021 is being held at Panchkula, Shahabad, Ambala, Chandigarh, and Delhi. The majority of events in Khelo India Youth Games 2021 will take place in Haryana, with the first three cities being located in the north Indian state. 4,700 athletes from all 36 Indian states and union territories, including 2,262 women, are competing in the Khelo India Youth Games 2021.
Haryana, the hosts, are represented by most athletes at KIYG 2021, with 398. Close behind with 357 athletes, Maharashtra, the defending champions, have the second-largest contingent at the Games. Medals will be given in 264 different events across 25 different sports at the KIYG 2021. Five indigenous sports made their KIYG debut: mallakhamb, gatka, kalaripayattu, thang-ta, and yogasana.
In the Khelo India Youth Games, Punjab boys and Chandigarh girls won their respective categories in Gatka competition. After dominating in Gatka competition, both teams pushed up their position in the medal table to finish fourth and fifth respectively.
2022 Khelo India Youth Games Latest Results, Standings, And Medal Table
On Saturday, the Khelo India Youth Games 2021 kicked off with a stunning opening ceremony in Panchkula. A total of 27 teams have registered their presence in the medal table so far. Haryana has sprinted to the top of the medal table with 46 medals, including 16 gold, while defending champions Maharashtra is right behind them in second place with 29 medal including 11 gold medals.
