Siva Sridhar of the Jain University and Aneesh Gowda of the Christ University were the top swimmers on Sunday. Each swimmer currently has seven medals. At the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik stadium in Gautam Buddha Nagar, the competition took place. Elsewhere, Manavaditya Singh Rathore and Kirti Gupta helped Manav Rachna University win their third shooting gold as well as the trap mixed team championship. In the mixed team final for the 10m air rifle, the Madras University pair of Narmada Nithin & Sri Karthik Sabari Raj defeated the Delhi University Sports Council’s Anshika Gupta & Samarvir Singh 17-13 to win the gold.
With an outstanding collection of 18 medals, including 9 gold, 5 silver, & 4 bronze, Karnataka’s Jain University is in top place of the medal standings. Following closely behind them with a total of 15 medals—7 gold, 7 silver, and 1 bronze—is Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Day 6 of the continuing multi-sport competition was held on May 28.
