The Kedarnath Dham, one of Hinduism’s holiest temples, recently welcomed pilgrims. Let me inform you that Kedarnath is one of Lord Shiva’s most important pilgrimages, located in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand’s Garhwal area.
It is one of Uttarakhand’s Char Dhams and the most significant of the Panch Kedar. It is one of Lord Shiva’s twelve Jyotirlingas and is located at a height of 3586 metres, amid breathtaking Himalayan peaks and near the Mandakini River’s head.

Date And Time Of Kedarnath Dham Yatra
The gates of Mahadev’s one of the twelve jyotirlingas, Kedarnath Dham, were opened on Friday morning (6th May) at 6.25 a.m. on the auspicious first day of the Kedarnath Dham Yatra 2022, and thousands of worshippers assembled.
The first prayer was said in the name of India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, with Uttarakhand’s Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami, and his wife also in attendance. The shrine was adorned with 1000 kilogrammes of flowers and lights, making it appear divine.
The date for Kedarnath’s closure has been determined, and the temple will close after the morning Pooja Archana on Bhai Dooj (the day after Diwali in November).
How To Book Pooja For Kedarnath Dham Yatra 2022?
Puja / Bhog / Paath / Aarti can now be booked in advance online at a reasonable price. At these Chardham Temples, a variety of Puja, Paath Aarti Bhog services are provided.
Pilgrims may either reserve their slots online in order to be physically present at the time of Puja Paath, or they could schedule Puja on their behalf at the temples.

How To Book Helicopter Ride?
The temple is not easily accessible by road and requires an 18-kilometre uphill climb from Sonprayag. The journey to the temple takes time and few people can visit owing to the high altitude. As a result, the Uttarakhand government began providing helicopter services to the temple.
Phata, Sersi, Sitapur, Guptkashi, all have helicopter services. Helicopter reservations are done online through the websites of helicopter operators.
Helicopter companies charge between Rs 6500 and Rs 8000 per person for a round flight to and from Kedarnath Dham on the same day. A single side ticket, which costs Rs 3000-Rs 3500, is also available.
