These included giving every family free power up to 200 units, giving female heads of household financial benefits of Rs 2,000 under a plan, allowing women to ride state-run buses for free, and giving BPL/Antyodaya cardholders Rs 10 per kilogram of rice.
Now, following through on their promise to implement people-centric programs, the State administration led by Congress fulfilled the fifth pledge, or ‘Yuva Nidhi.’
Under the direction of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, this program was unveiled at a ceremony in Shivamogga’s Freedom Park. Its goal is to give graduates and diploma holders a monthly unemployment stipend of Rs 3,000 and Rs 1,500, respectively.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed his happiness that all five of the promises made to the voters before taking office had been successfully implemented and emphasized the historic significance of this accomplishment. He stated, “We have achieved all the assurances and have kept our promises. Such an achievement has never happened in any period.”
