The first 12 episodes of the anime series Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre are anticipated to be available for global OTT streaming at the following times:

Official Statements Made Regarding The Series

Netflix Media Center stated- “An anime series based on Junji Ito’s masterworks of horror manga will debut on Netflix in 2023. 20 exceptional stories with the common topic of madness will be animated from Ito’s extensive body of work. The tales “Hanging Blimp,” “Tomie Photo,” “Four x Four Walls,” and “Intruder” are among them. 

On the official Japanese website for the series, the director Shinobu Tagashira made a comment. He said, “I recall copying down each of the original titles on sticky notes, pinning them to the whiteboard, and spending hours just staring at them.”
