20,000 people have signed a petition asking Julian Alvarez, a star for Manchester City, to break up with his girlfriend

Argentine supporters have urged Julian to dump his girlfriend.

After helping Argentina win the World Cup last month, Alvarez recently made a trip back to the UK. And while celebrating the outstanding accomplishment, Emilia Ferrero angered some Argentina supporters. In the celebrations that followed, Emilia stopped Alvarez from posing for a picture with a group of overjoyed admirers.

The YouTube influencer was then the target of one supporter’s rage, who started an online petition pleading with Alvarez to dump her. 20,000 people have signed the petition, but there is no indication that the 22-year-old will meet the fans’ request.

Dating history of the couple

Alvarez and Emilia had been dating for four years, and last night they rang in the new year together. Along with other City supporters, Emilia was at the Etihad to welcome her boyfriend back to Eastlands.

Emilia is a strong supporter of the striker and made him a vow out of love: “I’ll accompany you wherever you ask me to.” It is said that the hockey player and Alvarez’s former River Plate frontman lover first dated each other for a brief period about five years ago before they picked up where they left off. The two are both from the Cordoba municipality of Calchin.

However, the couple didn’t go public with their relationship until after his move to Manchester before this season.

The star Manchester City striker received a standing ovation when he entered the Etihad Stadium carrying his World Cup trophy. The 22-year-old Argentine began the match against Everton on the bench for Pep Guardiola’s team on Saturday, but the team made sure he had his moment in the spotlight.

Since the World Cup break and the start of the regular season, Alvarez has been absent from Man City’s first two games. During those games, Leeds was defeated and Liverpool was edged. However, now that he has returned from his celebration with Lionel Messi and company, Man City can reward their young striker by bringing him onto the field before the match against the Toffees.
