Who Was Jules Bianchi?
Jules Bianchi was a well-known French motor racing driver who died in an accident in 2014. He has recently been in the news because another driver Pierre Gasly experienced the same accident as him but he got lucky.
His full name was Bianchi Jules Lucien André. He was born on August 3, 1989, in Nice, France. His father’s name is Philippe and his mother’s name is Christine Bianchi. Brother Tom and sister Melanie were two of his siblings. Camille Marchetti, Bianchi’s long-term partner, led the tributes for him at the time of his death.
He was the grandnephew of Lucien, who participated in 19 Formula One Grands Prix, and the grandson of Mauro Bianchi, who raced in GT racing in the 1960s and three non-championship Formula One Grands Prix in 1961.
He stood 178 cm tall, or 5 feet 10 inches. On July 17, 2015, he passed away in Nice, France. He was only 25 years old when he passed away.
His Career
Jules Bianchi has had a passion for racing since he was a little boy. He began kart racing when he was three years old. Jules Bianchi made the decision to give up karting in 2007 and switched to French Formula Renault 2.0 to compete for the SG Formula.
He later participated in the Ferrari Driver Academy and raced in Formula Renault 3.5, GP2, and Formula Three.
He made his Formula One debut in 2012 as a practice driver for Sahara Force India. He made his Marussia debut in 2013, placing 15th in his season-opening race in Australia and ending the year in 19th place without collecting any points.
The team announced in October 2013 that he will be their driver for the next campaign. He earned the Marussia team’s and his first Formula One points in 2014 at the Monaco Grand Prix.
Cause Of Death Of Jules Bianchi
In very hazardous circumstances, Bianchi lost control of his Marussia on October 5, 2014, while competing in the Japanese Grand Prix. He collided with a rescue truck and had a diffuse axonal injury.
He underwent urgent surgery, was put into an induced coma, and stayed there till he passed away on July 17, 2015.
