Earlier this year in February 2023, Josh Sills was charged of ‘kidnapping and r*ping a woman’. The news went viral just a few days before Super Bowl LVII, which took place on February 13. The charges against Josh were filed on Tuesday, 31st January 2023, following which the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office launched a detailed investigation.
According to the charges, the incident happened on December 5, 2019 when Josh Sills allegedly ‘engaged in s*xual activity that was not consensual’ and held his victim against her will. Upon further investigations, a grand jury indicted Josh on one felony count of r*pe and another felony count of kidnapping. Josh appeared in court on February 16, which was just four days following the Super Bowl LVII in Arizona. However, the Philadelphia Eagles guard was acquitted of both charges during an Ohio courtroom hearing on Friday, August 4, 2023.
