Josh Allen Elbow Injury Update, Report, UCL News And Return Date
Allen got hurt on the team’s last drive before losing 20-17 to the New York Jets. Bryce Huff, a defensive lineman for the Jets, got past right tackle David Quessenberry, who was filling in for the injured Spencer Brown, and hit Allen’s throwing arm.
Let me get this straight – Josh Allen injured his flexor tendons and/or UCL but then unloaded an absolute BOMB for 70 yards? Lol. What?
Just to clarify this doesn’t necessarily mean he’s in the clear. He might be but that’s not the point. The point is he’s a cyborg. pic.twitter.com/Yu3RVyI0mw

This caused a strip sack, which Buffalo recovered. On the next play, the quarterback threw a low, off-target pass to wide receiver Stefon Diggs. He was then seen holding his right elbow and shaking it out.
Josh Allen’s Performance In The Last Match Before Injury
NFL NextGen Stats show that on the Bills’ last offensive play of the game, Allen threw a pass 69.3 yards into the air to wide receiver Gabe Davis. According to data from NextGen, it was the longest pass attempt in the last six seasons.
At the end of the game, he completed 18 of 34 passes (52.9%) for 205 yards and two picks. All five of the Jets’ sacks came when there were four or fewer pass-rushers. This is the most sacks a quarterback has ever had in his career. Allen did lead the game in rushing with nine carries for 86 yards, two touchdowns, and a career-long 36-yard touchdown.
Case Keenum is the back-up quarterback for the Bills. If Allen can’t play, Keenum and Diggs, who caught the “Minneapolis Miracle” pass from Keenum, would play against the Vikings, one of Keenum’s old teams.
McDermott On Josh Allen
Allen hasn’t missed a regular-season game since his rookie year, when he also hurt the UCL in his right elbow and had to sit out four games. McDermott said, “We all know how competitive Josh is, and he loves to compete and be out there with his teammates. So, you know, I’d never give up on him. One thing I do know about him is that we’re still figuring out his medical situation. Tomorrow morning, I’ll know a little bit more, even for myself.”
McDermott also said that second-year pass-rusher Greg Rousseau has a high ankle sprain that he got in the loss to the Jets and will be out for about a week. He has the second-most sacks on the team.
