England will play a 7-match T20 series with Pakistan
Pakistan will host England after a 17-year-long gap. The last time when these two teams played on Pakistani soil was in 2005 for a 3-match Test and 5-match ODI series. The hosts won both the Test and ODI series convincingly.
The 7-match T20 series will begin in Karachi on 20th September. The series will end on the 2nd of October. Karachi and Lahore will host the Tour. The series will be very important for both teams keeping in mind the World Cup.
Buttler’s calf injury rules him out of the T20 series against Pakistan
The English captain is currently one of the best white ball batters in the world. It’s important for him to be fit for the upcoming T20 World cup. England won’t rush Buttler to play in the series against Pakistan even though his injury is not that serious.
Jos Buttler likely to miss the entire Pakistan series due to an Injury
Butler might play the last 2 games of the series but the doctors have said him to relax a bit.
Jos Buttler said “Speaking to the physios, it is an injury that is not bad, but one that has a risk of recurrence. You don’t want to push it too soon, especially with what we have ahead,”
The English captain also said he is more focused on the World Cup and being fit for the tournament. He said that they have 3 match T20 series in Australia just before the World Cup so there is no issue with game time before the WT20.
