Jon Moxley Will Be Out Of Action From AEW As He Enters An Inpatient Alcohol Rehab Program

Tony Khan has revealed that Jon Moxley will no longer be a part of AEW for the time being owing to him entering an alcohol rehab program 

Jon Moxley who is better known by his stage name Dean Ambrose and is currently an All Elite Wrestling star is undergoing treatment for alcohol addiction.

Jon Moxley To Miss Time From AEW As He Enters Rehab For Alcohol Addiction

The wrestler who has entered an inpatient alcohol rehab program will no longer be stepping out to complete his AEW duties for the time being, something AEW President Tony Khan took to Twitter to announce.

“Jon Moxley has allowed me to share with you that he is entering an inpatient alcohol treatment program. Jon is a beloved member of the AEW family. We all stand with him and Renee, and all of his family and friends, as he shifts his focus to recovery,” Tony tweeted.

Ambrose who had left WWE in 2019 owing to increasing differences between him and the company had made a name for himself on the independent wrestling circuit. He had then gone onto meet Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns in WWE as he joined the company’s Florida Championship Wrestling with whom he had formed a group known as the Shield.

“I’m not doing that shit. So I was pissed. I can’t believe they were so incompetent that they’re going to make me walk away from all this money. Jesus Christ, now I have to go back to the indies, f**k it, let’s go,” Ambrose had said when he had talked about his differences with WWE and what prompted him to quit the company as he made the switch to AEW.
