The post stated, “Uthappa – AUS, NZ, IND, PAK.” Aaron Finch, Chris Gayle, Gautam Gambhir, and Sunil Gavaskar were just a few of the cricketers who made predictions.

When Robin saw the message, he replied, “These weren’t even my picks.” The social media user then posted a copy of the Star Sports broadcast where he had first made his predictions.

On social media, the exchange attracted a lot of trolls. Memes and other responses were made in response.

Ashwin makes it into the World Cup squad

The tentative 15-member Indian lineup for the 2019 ICC ODI World Cup under Rohit Sharma had just one change on Thursday, the final day of final submission to the International Cricket Council (ICC). Axar Patel, a seasoned spinner, was replaced by Ravichandran Ashwin after his injury, which he was unable to fully recover from.

Ashwin was picked for the first two games in the recently concluded three-match ODI series against Australia, which served as the final dress rehearsal for both teams before the championship game, in which India would be the lone host nation for the first time. The change was expected given that Ashwin was included in those two games.

What does this modification indicate for Team India?

The first and most evident result of this change is that Captain Rohit now has access to a cricketer with a wealth of knowledge and intelligence. Axar has been a part of the team for a while, but Ashwin brings with him vast cricketing knowledge, a demonstrated ability to win matches, as well as unconventional methods to various circumstances.

Ashwin has a respectable total ODI record, taking 155 wickets at an average of 33.20 in 115 games. His economy rate of 4.94 will be handy in Indian pitches. He has 707 runs scored in 63 innings at an average of 16.44 and a strike rate of 86.96, making him a useful bat down in the order.
