The tune, which will be made available on Friday, July 15th, is one of two tracks the actor co-wrote for the album collaboration 18 with British guitarist Jeff Beck.
This is a Song for Miss Hedy Lamarr, the album’s lead track, and is an original by Depp. The track “blew me away,” according to Beck. I requested that he collaborate on an album with me in part because of that song.
It’s a tremendous honour for Depp to perform and compose music with Jeff, who is among the all-time greats and whom he now has the honour of referring to as his brother.
According to the Sunday Times, he duets with Beck on the song “I think you’ve talked enough for one motherfucking night.” “You’re sitting there scratching your seven-year itch like a dog. In the song “Sad Motherfuckin’ Parade,” he sings, “If I had a penny, it wouldn’t reach your hand.:
During his defamation case, he joined Beck on stage at a number of his recent UK shows. He is also rumoured to be preparing for on-stage appearances on Beck’s upcoming European tour.
The album, which was recorded over three years, includes 13 songs total, including versions of songs by Motown singers as well as the Beach Boys, John Lennon, Velvet Underground, and Killing Joke. It also includes Depp’s two original songs.
Depp released a video montage
Depp released a video montage of his recent UK tour with Jeff Beck after signing up for TikTok in June. The message thanked his “most beloved, dedicated and faithful supporters.”
With a jury deciding that Heard had slandered her ex-husband in an op-ed she wrote for the Washington Post in 2018 about being a victim of domestic abuse, Depp won his trial in June. Although she did not specifically mention Depp in the article, his attorneys said it was unfairly conveyed that he had assaulted her physically and sexually when they were married.
Heard intends to challenge the judgement.
