Felix is expected to earn £250,000 per week till June. Kai Havertz makes £310k a week, Raheem Sterling makes £325k, and Kalidou Koulibaly makes £295k.
Wesley Fofana, a summer signing who cost Chelsea £70 million to acquire from Leicester, is the club’s fifth-highest-paid player. He earns £200k per week.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, a fellow summer acquisition, reportedly makes £160k per week, ranking him eighth in pay.
Marc Cucurella earns £175k per week, which is less than his left-back counterpart Ben Chilwell, who reportedly makes £190k per week.
However, Felix is the only Chelsea player in front of them. He will be looking to improve on the 34 goals and 18 assists he provided in 131 appearances at the Wanda Metropolitano.
One of the most expensive moves of all time, Felix joined Atletico from Benfica in 2019 for 126 million euros ($135 million). He has since made 131 appearances for the team and scored 34 goals.
With the addition of Felix, Reece James has risen to the position of fourth-highest earning at the club after agreeing to a massive new contract worth £250,000 per week.
Carney Chukwuemeka, 18, has received a reputed £85k per week contract with the Blues.
Denis Zakaria, a summer deadline day loan signing, is reportedly paid £35k per week.
Christian Pulisic, who earns £160,000 a week, is another high earner. According to Spotrac’s calculations, Hakim Ziyech, Mateo Kovacic, and Jorginho all make £110,000 per week, while Thiago Silva and Mateo Silva each make £100,000.
Felix scored in the 3-2 group-stage win over Ghana, which helped Portugal advance to the quarterfinals of the World Cup in Qatar last month.
Felix’s contract with Atletico was extended for another season, ending in June 2027, the club said on Wednesday.
The Portuguese international joins Benoit Badiashile, Andrey Santos, and David Datro Fofana as Chelsea’s fourth new additions in the January transfer window, and it appears that their winter recruiting isn’t quite over yet. With just 20 goals in 17 games, the Blues are currently worsening in tenth place in the league. Felix was signed to give Potter’s frontline some much-needed firepower.
Meanwhile, Felix is unlikely to start against Fulham, despite Potter’s refusal to rule it out. The Portugal international might make his full debut on Sunday against Crystal Palace if he isn’t put in right away.
