Head To Head: 1-0

J.J Wolf and Maxime Cressy have faced each other just once so far, and their lone encounter was won by Cressy to lead the head-to-head record with 1-0.

Prediction

J.J Wolf and Maxime Cressy are set to meet for the second time in their ATP career so far.

In Florence, J.J. Wolf defeated wildcard Francesco Maestrelli by scores of 4-6, 6-2, and 6-1 after taking a while to acclimate. The American moved on to face Maxime Cressy after a few years of injury-related stops and starts. The American is now firmly established in the top 100. On the other hand, Cressy was given a second-round bye into the tournament.

75th in the world, Wolf overcame a set deficit to Maestrelli on Monday to avoid a scare. By winning this match and advancing to the last 32, the 23-year-old can finally breach the top 70 on the tour, but the fourth-seeded Cressy will be a tough opponent. Since winning his first ATP title at the Hall of Fame Open back in July, 25-year-old Cressy has found it difficult to maintain his top form due to the difficulty of making the switch from hard courts. However, a recent victory over Sebastian Korda suggests he should have enough to defeat Wolf in this first encounter between the two.
