Jermell Charlo vs Brian Castano Post-match Reactions and Future Path of Charlo
After the bout, Charlo and Castano exchanged pleasantries, with Castano claiming that the only difference between the draw and the knockout defeat was “that he hit me.” After winning all four world titles at 154 pounds, Charlo hinted that his next move might be to go up a weight class.
Charlo was in high spirits after the win and told. “This is something that is legendary. I’m a legend. Thank god. I ain’t done, dog. I might move up to 160 and see if I can do it again.”
However, any prospective middleweight takeover would be complicated by the fact that Charlo’s twin brother Jermall is the WBC world champion at 160 pounds.
